07 February Night Dive at Blue Heron Bridge

Blue Heron Bridge Night DiveA night dive on the Blue Heron Bridge is an amazing way to see this unique site. Join us on Feb 7th at 6 pm to experience it for yourself.

To night dive at Blue Heron Bridge you must be under the supervision of a Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation permit holder. Individuals cannot dive at the park at night without a permit. Divers must check in with Blue Heron Bridge Scuba by 6pm on the day of the dive to sign a waiver and receive a vehicle pass. For more information check out our MeetUp for the event.

All divers must have their own dive light and secondary and their dive flags must be lit with a glow stick or dive beacon. Dive items will be available at the shop for rental or purchase. The dive will begin at 7 pm to take advantage of the 7:30 pm high tide.
The event is unguided and dive teams and groups may explore the site as desired, however there will be a diver from BHB Scuba entering the water at 7 pm conducting a one hour tour of the site. Divers unfamiliar with the bridge may follow the shop diver.

  1. We didn’t get any visibility reports from last evening’s twilight high tide but the water looked to be clearing up this morning compared to previous days. Visibility will be tough to call with the water flushing going at Lake Okeechobee. Today’s high tide is just after sunset and tomorrow is a full on ‪#‎NightDive‬. We’ll be at the shop tomorrow evening for anyone more interested in diving than watching the game. Divers must check into the shop by 6 pm Sunday to sign a waiver and get their vehicle pass to dive the 7:20 pm high tide. The weather is expected to be clear and cool in the evening with air temps in the mid 50s and winds around 10 mph out of the NW.

  2. We have a report from this mornings sunrise high tide. Unrestricted viz and 75 degree water…Dave reported that he and his students were expecting the worst and got the best. This morning was the clearest water of the week with at least 40 ft viz on the East side. He did report that the air temp made pre-dive and post-dive a bit chilly but it was totally worth it in the end. Night Dive tonight checks in at the bridge shop by 6:00 pm for waivers and vehicle passes with high tide at around 7:20 pm.
